الرمز والتكثيف الدلالي لمسرحية الشهداء يعودون هذا الاسبوع لشريف زياني عياد عن رواية طاهر وطار
(UNIVERSITY OF AIN TEMOUCHENT, 2025) مكعو, أسماء; بداد, عبد العالي
This study aims to analyze the play “The Martyrs Return This Week” through the lens of symbolism and semantic condensation, focusing on the role of language, dialogue, and symbolic structures in the dramatic text, while also comparing them to the narrative text. The findings reveal that semantic condensation represents one of the key features that grants the play its artistic strength, as it operates through suggestion, omission, metaphor, and silence to produce multiple meanings within a concise and condensed form. Furthermore, the results highlight that drama differs from the novel in its mechanisms of meaning construction, since it condenses narration into dialogue, gestures, and symbols, which increases the audience’s role in reconstructing meaning. This approach demonstrates that the play does not merely depict events but creates an aesthetic and intellectual discourse that reinforces values of sacrifice, identity, and belonging.

التحليل النصي للقصيدة العربية (قراءة في منهج حماسة عبد اللطيف)
(UNIVERSITY OF AIN TEMOUCHENT, 2025) غنيسة, سليمة; مصطفاوي, جلال
This study seeks to analyze the Arabic poetic text through the approach of Mohamed Hamasa Abdel Latif, relying on the tools of textual analysis that emphasize textual integrity and autonomy, horizontal and vertical relations, and both surface and deep structures. The poem “Dialogue with the Nile” was chosen as a case study due to its symbolic significance in modern Arabic poetry, where the Nile represents homeland, civilization, and identity. The findings reveal that Hamasa’s methodology effectively highlights the structural and semantic dimensions of the poetic text, as it combines the rigor of structural analysis with the flexibility of interpretation. However, it remains limited compared to modern critical approaches that give greater weight to historical and social contexts. The study concludes that Hamasa’s approach provides the possibility of a precise internal reading of poetic texts while preserving their aesthetic dimension, making it a valid framework for application to other Arabic poems

Intertextuality is the over happing of other texts (whether ancient or contemporary، religious or literary) within the structure of a poetic text، either directly or indirectly. It is considered one of the important phenomena emphasized in semiotic analysis as the poetic text does not generate meaning solely from itself but through its relationship with other texts. There are several types of intertextuality used in poetic discourses including religious intertextuality; which involves referencing religious verses or concepts، literary intertextuality، self- intertextuality as well as direct and indirect intertextuality. These types were employed by the poet _HASSAN IBN THABIT_ in this poem “AFFAT DHAT AL ASABI” highlighting the diversity of intertextuality forms within the poem. Their use plays a significant role in interpreting meaning and producing poetic discourse.

This research addresses the semiotic analysis of narrative discourse through the contributions of the Algerian critic Rachid Ben Malek, who sought to consolidate the semiotic approach in Arab criticism through translation, authorship, and the clarification of terminology. The study begins by reviewing the emergence of semiotics in Western thought with Saussure and Peirce, then traces its presence in contemporary Arab criticism, particularly in Algeria, highlighting prominent critics such as Abdelmalek Mortad, Abdelkader Fidouh, and Mohammed Meftah. The research emphasizes Ben Malek’s awareness of the challenges of applying semiotics in the Arab context, stressing the importance of understanding its intellectual foundations before employing it. He also applied the method practically in analyzing classical texts such as Kalila and Dimna, reflecting his concern with transforming theory into an effective analytical practice. The study concludes that semiotics in Algerian criticism is still in its formative stage, yet it is steadily progressing to overcome methodological and terminological obstacles thanks to the efforts of critics who combine theory and application with an awareness of the specific cultural context of the Arab text.

In this research, "The Pragmatics of Qur'anic Interpretation by al-Sabuni: A Linguistic Study of Examples from the Holy Qur'an," we sought to uncover the pragmatic features inherent in this interpretation, which al-Sabuni exploited in his understanding of the Qur'anic text. This required us to adopt both descriptive and analytical approaches to the study. The research is committed to examining Qur'anic verses and clarifying their pragmatic aspects. This inevitably corresponds to a search for similarities in the exegetical model.

This study, titled ""The Linguistic Structure and Its Discursive Significance in Surah Al-Ghashiyah"" explores semantic and interpretive correspondences within the framework of modern linguistic outcomes, which open new scientific horizons beyond classical approaches—particularly regarding the division of structure into its various levels. In doing so, the study paves the way for new readings of the sacred Qur'anic corpus. The research sheds light on four fundamental linguistic components: the phonological (sound) level, the morphological level, the syntactic (structural) level, and the semantic level. It relies on statistical tables whose results revealed nuanced meanings emerging from the linguistic interplay between these components, through methods of interpretation and analysis. This interaction unveils the aesthetic dimensions of Qur'anic inimitability— marked by eloquence of expression, precision of meaning, coherence of sentences with parallels in other Surahs, and their influence on various forms and constructions. Overall, the study is grounded in Qur'anic discourse linguistics, which diverges methodologically and conceptually from the perspectives found i In traditional linguistic compilations.

This study explores the nature of literary discourse in its written and read dimensions through the lens of Paul Ricoeur’s thought, employing a hermeneutic approach that integrates linguistic, philosophical, and applied analysis. We began by establishing key concepts, particularly the distinction between text and discourse. The theoretical analysis revealed that discourse is not merely a linguistic structure, but a communicative and meaningful act subject to interpretation. It unfolds through the dialectic of event and meaning, metaphor and symbol—enabling the reader to generate meaning within the literary text. The study then moved to practical application, analyzing selected verses from the poem "Ra‘d al-Bashā’ir" and the dramatic text "Innaha al-Ḥarb" by Hussein Al-‘Iraqi. The findings demonstrate that discourse is not merely composed of linguistic structures, but rather a semantic event shaped through the reader’s interaction with the text via the generative illocutionary act, thus transforming reading into a hermeneutic practice that creates meaning.

Sabr Habasha's ""Attempts in Discourse Analysis"" is a prominent contemporary contribution to the field of discourse analysis within Arab thought. This work uniquely blends theoretical depth with diverse and varied applications. The study aims to deconstruct the methodological vision adopted by the author and shed light on the features of his analytical project. It operates within a critical horizon that seeks to re-read discourse not merely as pure linguistic material, but as a semantic act charged with ideology, where the cognitive dimension intertwines with the pragmatic, and the symbolic with the real.

This study aims to explore the pragmatic dimensions of the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) sermons by analyzing the speech acts they contain, as fundamental components of linguistic communication. The analysis is based on Speech Act Theory as developed by Austin and Searle, with special consideration given to the pragmatic context of religious discourse. The study is divided into two main chapters: the first presents the theoretical framework, introducing pragmatics in terms of its definition, development, functions, and its relation to other sciences—especially focusing on speech acts and contextual analysis. The second chapter applies this framework to five prophetic sermons: the Farewell Sermon, the Sermon on Welcoming Ramadan, the Friday Sermon, the Sermon after the Battle of Uhud, and the Sermon of the Conquest of Mecca. The analysis revealed a diversity of speech acts used in the Prophet’s discourse—commands, prohibitions, guidance, persuasion, emotional expression, promises, and warnings—serving communicative purposes such as instruction, reform, and the development of religious and social awareness. The study concludes that the Prophetic discourse is a model of successful pragmatic performance, marked by coherence between utterance and context, and appropriateness to the audience and situation. This highlights the value of employing modern linguistic approaches in the study of classical religious texts.

This study addresses the phenomenon of interactive digital literature, representing a qualitative evolution in literary practice driven by the digital revolution. In this new literary form, the reader shifts from a passive recipient to an active participant in meaning construction through multimedia channels. The study aims to analyze patterns of linguistic interaction in contemporary Arabic digital texts by reviewing the theoretical framework of digital literature and its linguistic interactivity, then applying this framework to two representative Arabic works: the novel Chat by Muhammad Sanajla and the poem Digital Dates of a Partially Blue Biography by Mushtaq Abbas Ma’an. The research employs two main methodologies: a descriptive-analytical approach for the theoretical aspect, and an applied-analytical approach for the digital texts, focusing on the use of digital media and linguistic interaction forms that reshape language functions within the digital environment. The study’s significance lies in addressing a current and urgent topic, filling a research gap in Arabic studies on linguistic interaction in digital literature, and contributing to the development of digital reading and criticism tools. It also discusses critical issues related to reception, authorship, and intellectual property within digital texts. Challenges encountered include the scarcity of specialized sources, difficulty accessing original interactive texts, variation in critical terminology, and technical obstacles. Nonetheless, this study constitutes an important step toward deepening theoretical and practical understanding of interactive digital literature in the Arab context.

This research deals with the communicative functions of poetic discourse, explaining how poetry transforms from a mere aesthetic expression to an effective means of conveying multiple messages and connotations. Poetic discourse relies on a variety of linguistic functions, most notably: The expressive function that reflects the poet's feelings, the affective function that arouses the recipient's conscience, in addition to the poetic function that is manifested in the structure of the text and its artistic images. It is clear that poetic discourse is not limited to language as a means of communication, but also utilizes rhythm, image, and style to expand its semantic field and impact, making poetry a discourse of a dual nature: Poetry is a rich field of human communication that transcends the individual dimension to broader social and cultural horizons.

This study aims to explore the rhetorical foundations in the Arabic rhetorical heritage through an analysis of Dalā’il al-Iʿjāz by ʿAbd al-Qāhir al-Jurjānī. The focus was placed on the relationship between classical Arabic rhetoric and modern linguistic sciences, by examining aspects of cohesion and mechanisms of coherence in discourse. The results revealed that al-Jurjānī presented an advanced vision of meaning and context, in line with what is proposed in pragmatic linguistics. The study also confirmed al-Jurjānī’s ability to connect linguistic structure with rhetorical intent. The research highlights that Arabic rhetorical heritage contains semantic and discursive dimensions that can be reactivated within contemporary linguistic approaches.

Linguistics has contributed to the improvement of the educational system, particularly in the teaching of the Arabic language. It is no longer merely a specialized science concerned with linguistic studies; it has become an interdisciplinary field that interacts with various disciplines, such as applied, human, and social sciences. Based on this, we conclude that the ultimate goal of linguistics is to support and enhance the teaching-learning process and to contribute to its ongoing development.

This study, entitled "The Socio-Linguistic Structure in the Algerian Novelistic Discourse, the Novel "Blood of the Gazelle" by Merzak Begache, is an attempt to understand and define the social and linguistic textual structure in which the novelistic text was written, with the aim of revealing and delving into its secrets. This is achieved by addressing the beginnings of the sociology of the text of Georg Lukacs, Lucien Goldmann and Pierre Zima, identifying the analytical procedures they adopted, then identifying the characteristics of the novelistic discourse, arriving at the applied study represented by the socio-textual analysis of the novel "Blood of the Gazelle" by applying what was stated in the theoretical aspect to its linguistic and textual structure, extracting the ideology of the novel advocated by the novelist. Finally, I addressed a conclusion in which I monitored the most important results reached, and this conclusion is followed by an appendix that includes the novelist's autobiography while highlighting the novel's interface.
