Résumé
This study explores the multifaceted issue of women’s
identity, with a specific focus on the repsentation of women in
contemporary algerian literature. it aims to analyze the fictional
representions of women, emphasizing the dialecal relationship
between the "self" and the "other", while deconstructing the
structures of emancipation that female characters navigate
within the social fabric. The study examines the literary
components and socio-cultural contexts that shape female
identity within the narative discoures, in addition to monitoring
the extent to which social changes have influenced the
redefinition of women’s roles. utilizing an analytical approch to
examine selected literary works, the research elucidates how the
Algerian novel provides a critical perspective on the reality of
women and deconstructs the cultural constraints that impede
their active societal participation. The study concludes that
Algerian novel does not merely depict the suffering of women;
rather, it offers serious attempts to reshape their self-awareness
and understanding of their roles, reflecting broader
transformations within the stuctures of society and culture.
