Résumé
This study aims to highlight the role of linguistic communication in enhancing learning
among primary school pupils, as it represents one of the fundamental pillars of the
modern educational process. The study shows that language is no longer viewed merely
as a set of grammatical rules to be memorized, but rather as a functional communicative
tool used in real-life classroom situations, both inside and outside the school
environment, thus making the learner an active participant in the learning process.
The study is based on a central research problem concerning the extent to which
linguistic communication contributes to improving learning outcomes in primary
education, and how pedagogical strategies—particularly the communicative approach—
can be used to develop communicative competence. The study adopts the descriptive-
analytical method, supported by classroom-based applications and activities taken from
school textbooks at different primary levels.
The findings reveal that diversifying communicative activities (oral and written
expression, dialogue, and interaction) directly contributes to the development of
comprehension and expression skills, while also enhancing learners’ self-confidence and
ability to interact effectively within the classroom. The results also emphasize the crucial
role of the teacher in activating the linguistic communication network through
encouragement, dialogue, and the organization of learning situations.
In conclusion, the study confirms that adopting the communicative approach in primary
education helps build a learner capable of using language functionally and effectively in
real-life situations.
