Résumé
Today, distance learning occupies an important place in the university field, especially with the
development of digital technologies and educational platforms. This type of teaching ensures
educational continuity and facilitates access to courses andlearning resources. However, several
pedagogical, technical, and social factors influence students' motivation during distance learning
of transversal subjects.
The objective of this research is to study the impact of pedagogical, technical, and social conditions
of distance learning on the motivation of Algerian students of the French department in learning
transversal subjects. This study also aims to identify the main difficulties faced by teachers and
students, as well as the advantages and limitations of distance learning.
In order to verify our hypotheses, we adopted a method based on questionnaires addressed to both
teachers and students. After analyzing and interpreting the obtained results, we found that distance
learning offers several advantages such as flexibility, autonomy, and quick access to digital
resources. However, technical problems, lack of interaction, and certain pedagogical difficulties
negatively affect students' motivation.
The results of this research also show that improving technical conditions, pedagogical
interactions, and teaching methods can contribute to strengthening students' motivation and
improving the quality of distance learning.
