Résumé
The memorandum entitled "Adduction from the Honaine desalination plant in Tlemcen
province to reinforce the drinking water supply of 18 municipalities in Sidi Bel Abbès
province" is a project that was carried out for the benefit of Sidi Bel Abbès province, which
has been suffering from a water deficit for several years. The managers of the Honaine
seawater desalination resource (Tlemcen province) have decided to allocate a quota of
100,000 m3/day to 18 municipalities in Sidi Bel Abbès province by means of a transfer
(adduction) over a total length of (30 108) ml. We had the opportunity to study several
options through a techno-economic study that highlighted an ideal and economical route. The
route in question is divided into 3 sections: 2 gravity sections and 1 pumping section. The
linear works include 2 reservoirs of 20,000 m3 each and a pumping station, where we had to
dimension the adduction pipes, pumping station, reservoirs, balance chimney and carry out a
study for protection against water hammer.
In the end, a study of the project cost was necessary, which allowed us to estimate the price of
a meter of water at 10.66 DA/m3, taking into account all investment and operating costs.
