Marine microorganisms, ubiquitous in aquatic ecosystems, play a fundamental role in biological cycles and hold promising biotechnological potential, particularly in the pharmaceutical and agri-food industries. This study aims to isolate marine bacterial strains along the Algerian coast (Honaine and Béni Saf) and evaluate their biological activities, with a focus on enzymatic and antimicrobial properties. A total of 26 bacterial strains were isolated from the coastal areas of Honaine and Béni Saf. Their enzymatic activity was assessed through three key reactions: amylolytic, cellulolytic, and proteolytic activities. Additionally, their antimicrobial activity was tested against five pathogenic strains (Enterococcus faecalis, Acinetobacter baumannii, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa), revealing that 7% of the isolates exhibited significant inhibitory effects. Biochemical identification methods confirmed that the strains belong to the Pseudomonadaceae family. In conclusion, this study highlights the biotechnological potential of the isolated marine bacterial strains, particularly due to their diverse enzymatic activities and, to a lesser extent, antimicrobial properties. These findings open promising avenues for their future exploitation in various industrial sectors.en_US
