Résumé
This study examines the impact of flooding on the operation of the seawater desalination plant
(BWC) by monitoring the effects of heavy flows from Wadi El-Hallouf on the quality of the
water supplied to the plant. The research focuses on analyzing rainfall indicators, turbidity
levels, and operational shutdowns to identify and determine the timing of hydrological
disturbances.
The study aims to understand the data affecting raw water characteristics during these
fluctuations and to identify key phases within the main plant. It also highlights the importance
of considering this data and proposes general solutions and recommendations that are not
merely reactive but also address the plant's overall performance in the face of changing
climatic conditions.
The significance of this work lies in providing a different understanding of the relationship
between extreme weather events and the performance of desalination plants. It offers a
scientific basis and supervisory perspective to contribute to the development of solutions that
mitigate the inaccuracy of these vital interactions in relation to direct banking interactions.
