Abstract

This study aims to highlight the role of local authorities in improving public service delivery in the municipality of Ain Temouchent by analyzing the impact of this role on service quality, citizen satisfaction, and the reduction of difficulties and obstacles. The study relied on a sample of 48 employees and workers within the municipality, with 40 valid questionnaires selected for analysis, as they are the group most closely related to the research topic. The questionnaire was used as the main data collection tool, in addition to interviews and observation to support the field study. The descriptive-analytical method was adopted, along with statistical techniques using SPSS to analyze data and test hypotheses. The study found a statistically significant effect of local authorities on improving public service, particularly in terms of service quality and citizen satisfaction, while no significant effect was found regarding the reduction of difficulties and constraints.
