Abstract
This study aimed to identify the learning strategies adopted by university
students and was conducted on a sample of 60 students from Ain Temouchent
University, Belhadj Bouchaib, divided into two groups: Sciences and
Technology, and Social Sciences. The descriptive method was used, and the
French Language Learning Strategy Scale by researcher Song Xiaomei was
employed. And the statistical package spss.
The study reached the following conclusions:
• There are no differences between students of the Social Sciences group
and students of the Sciences and Technology group in terms of French
language learning strategies.
• There are differences among students of the Sciences and Technology
group in terms of French language learning strategies attributed to the
gender variable.
• There are no differences among students of the Social Sciences group in
terms of French language learning strategies attributed to the gender
variable.
