DIMENSIONNEMENT D’UN OUVRAGE DE STOCKAGE POUR RECUPERATION DES EAUX USEES EPUREES A DES FINS D’IRRIGATION _CAS LA STEP DE AIN TEMOUCHENT_

Abstract

This research explores the reuse of treated wastewater for agricultural irrigation by designing a dedicated storage and distribution facility. The project supports sustainable water resource management in semi-arid environments. Based on the performance analysis of the Ain Temouchent wastewater treatment plant, treated water quality was assessed against international standards for agricultural reuse. A monthly water balance methodology was employed to determine the optimal storage capacity, accounting for crop demand, system losses, and site constraints. The study confirms the technical viability of implementing a wastewater reuse system.
