Abstract

Water demineralization has become essential in southernAlgeriawhere the onlyavailable water resource, groundwater, isoftenhighlysalinized. This technique makesit possible to transformthis water unfit for consumptioninto a valuableresource for local populations. Our workaims to measure the performance of the reverse osmosisdemineralization plant of In Amenas in the wilaya of Illizi by evaluating the quality of the water produced. The water qualityassessmentwascarried out at the inlet, in the middle and at the outlet of the treatmentprocess. The monitoring of certain physicochemicalparameters (water conductivity, pH, [cl2] and turbidity) showedthat the water producedmeets the standards of potability (very good quality). This study
