Résumé
The algerian literary scene has recently witnessed a remarkable creative
movement characterized by a tendency and inclination toward experimentation in
various literary genres, particularly the short story. This trend is evident in the
authors’ openness to new styles and techniques in writing, most notably the
summoning and utilization of popular (folk) heritage within texts. This heritage
encompasses multiple elements such as tales, proverbs, songs, customs, traditions,
and wisdom, among others. In this context comes the series « algerian flok tales »
by rabah khoussi and « aisha daughter of the well-inhabited » (aisha bint al-
ma’moura) as a literary model that reimagines the utilization of folk tales within
anarrative framework directed at the world of children.it has been reformulated in
a modern style that bridges the heritage and educational dimensions, thereby
ensuring that this legacy isbrought closer to the reader, especially
children.
