At the XXth century, the protection of the environment and the preservation of water resources constitute a major stake which the countries of the world are confronted. Since the 1980s, Algeria has been facing a shortage of water due to irregular rainfall. In its case, preservation requires the reuse of treated wastewater, particularly in agriculture. In this context, this work deals with the subject of purification of the wastewater of the Ain El Houtz WWTP and their reuse for irrigation of the irrigated perimeter in the plain of Hennaya and also the impact of this reuse. In the irrigated area of Hennaya, this technique contributed to increase the area from 330 ha in 2012 to 745 ha in 2018, with an operating ratio of 81% and a financial contribution of more than one billion Algerian dinars in 2018. From raw wastewater to reused water in agriculture, this work will highlight all the important steps that water undergoes from its distribution until its reuse.en_US
