Résumé
This contribution attempts to highlight the representations and the appropriations of
the Algerian space such as they are conveyed in the school manual of the French
language, of 9th grade(second generation). It tries to approach the process of
teaching/learning engaged in the construction of the student's identity through the
represented Algerian space, to determine the sociocultural exposed and to bring a critical
analysis that is didactic and urban sociolinguistic. The main point of the study is to
establish the data that allows to discover the places that nurtures the national identity in
the supports and their distributions admitting (or granting) its appropriation.
