Résumé

Gastroesophageal reflux (GER) is a common digestive disorder that can significantly impact the quality of life of affected individuals. In an effort to explore better-tolerated natural alternatives, this study focused on the development and evaluation of a natural yogurt enriched with chamomile extract, a plant known for its beneficial effects on the digestive system. This product, named Calmella, was designed to provide relief from GER symptoms. A survey was conducted involving 40 individuals diagnosed with GER who tested the product. The results indicated good acceptance of the yogurt, both in terms of taste and perceived effectiveness. Over 82% of participants reported an improvement in their symptoms, and all respondents (100%) expressed interest in the product’s commercialization. Consumers primarily highlighted three essential criteria: effectiveness against reflux, natural composition, and pleasant taste. In addition, rapid onset of action was frequently cited as a notable advantage. In conclusion, this chamomile-enriched yogurt appears to be a promising natural option for alleviating GER symptoms. These preliminary findings pave the way for further research, particularly through larger-scale clinical trials, to confirm its efficacy and optimize its formulation.
