Abstract
The current research is a case study conducted in Ain Temouchent University for the
purpose of having an in-depth look at the teaching and learning situation of English
during the pandemic. Data collection process was conducted through the use of two
research instruments namely learners’ questionnaire and teachers’ semi- interview.
Findings revealed that this online model was highly adapted and incouraged in our
university. The analysis also demonstrated that the E-learning model affects EFL
students both positively and negatively depending on the availability of the
pedagogical and technological tools, as well as their readiness to learn and teach via
this new implemented model. Based on these results, it has been suggested that
decision makers should revise and improve the E-learning program to meet the needs
of the students and the teachers. This can be articulated around training teachers to use
Elearning platforms, designing appropriate E-content and assess the students’
performance and the course objectives
