Résumé

Abdelmalek Mortad is considered an icon of literary criticism, as he introduced Western critical approaches into the Arab environment, which led him to adopt a modern perspective while, at the same time, returning to heritage and combining the two, thereby establishing the concept of authenticity. He dealt with these approaches through various theoretical procedures and applied the combined approach, particularly deconstructionism alongside semiotics, in the analysis of texts, thus moving from criticism to reading and creating a critical and methodological presence with broad horizons.
