Abstract

The present study aimed to reveal the level of emotional awareness among emergency department nurses. This study was conducted on two cases, aged 35 and 49 years old, at the emergency department of the "Ahmed Medeghri" Public Hospital. To achieve the objectives of the study, the clinical approach based on the case study method was adopted, using its most important tools: clinical observation, clinical interview, in addition to the application of the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) according to the "Vica Shentoub" method. The current study revealed the validation of the first and third hypotheses for both cases, and consequently reaching the most important finding: there is a high level of emotional awareness in both cases, which is primarily due to a sound family upbringing and the professional experience acquired over years of work, and it was discussed in light of previous studies.
