Abstract

This dissertation analyzes how a contemporary novel rewrites official history by giving voice to survivors of institutional violence. The study combines a narratological approach (narrative architecture) and a psychoanalytic approach (unconscious defence mechanisms). The results show that the text recomposes the past, represents trauma, and opens paths to resilience, making literature a space of counter memory and symbolic repair.
