This research focuses on the specificity of administrative investigation as a fundamental stage in administrative litigation, aimed at enabling the judge to collect evidence and verify the facts in dispute. The administrative investigation is characterized by its inquisitorial nature and the active role of the judge in directing proceedings and managing evidence, ensuring balance between the parties. It also features flexibility in the means of proof compared to ordinary jurisdiction, while taking into account the nature of public service and the principle of legality. The importance of investigation lies in its role in ensuring transparency of judicial decisions and achieving administrative justice. It is governed by legal rules regulating its procedures and effects in accordance with the Code of Civil and Administrative Procedure. Thus, it constitutes a key tool for uncovering the truth in administrative disputes
