Résumé
This study explores the cultural patterns embedded in the novel From the Resurrection of
Desert Diaspora by Seddik Hadj Ahmed Ziwani, aiming to reveal the implicit cultural structures
and their manifestations within the narrative discourse. The research adopts a structured
methodology consisting of an introduction and two chapters. The introduction defines the
concept of cultural patterns and examines the characteristics and themes of desert literature.
The theoretical chapter traces the development of cultural criticism in both Western and Arab
contexts, discussing the duality of explicit and hidden patterns, the philosophy of desert space,
the semiotics of nomadism, and the influence of narrative heritage on shaping the image of the
desert. The practical section analyzes the mechanisms of cultural patterns in the novel, focusing
on diaspora as a psychological, cultural, and social construct, while also examining memory
and resistance as central elements in Ziwani’s narrative imagination. The study concludes that
the novel successfully conveys profound cultural patterns reflecting the existential identity of
humanity within the desert environment.
