Abstract

This study revolves around a contemporary Arabic critical book entitled Research in Methodology by the Palestinian critic Shukri Aziz Madi. The study aims to examine the book in terms of its subject matter, intellectual and critical contents, the methodology adopted in the research, the questions raised and their relationship to the Arab cultural context, as well as the book’s results regarding accuracy, novelty, and originality. Through this study, we concluded that the book is considered an important reference for understanding contemporary critical methodologies because it is rich in diverse intellectual content that combines the old and the modern, as well as the Arab and the Western traditions. Moreover, its hypotheses, foundations, and thesis were presented according to a well-structured scientific method characterized by coherent methodological steps based on argumentation and constructive criticism.
