Abstract
n this work we will deal with a very important subject, it is study of written comprehension
and its difficulty in learners. We took as an example the muddle cycle and specifically the
learners of the 2nd year. First, we have proposed two strategies: translation and illustration by
image and explanation of difficult words, and from the interpretation of the results obtained in
our investigation and the comparison of our strategies we validate we strategies that
accompany the learner to work within the classroom.
Our objective in our research is to highlight importance of these methods in the activity of
written comprehension and the teaching of French as a foreign language.
