Abstract
Herbal medicine is a big part of the health system. The plants currently used are tested and
selected for their therapeutic values, they are at the origin of many drugs since their active
ingredients play a role in the composition of 70% of the pharmaceutical products marketed in
the industrialized countries.
the phytochemical study of the plant << Eucalyptus camaldulensis >> showed a wealth of it in
polyphenols, terpenoids, alkaloids, compound reducing agents, and free quinones.
Our work also aims to highlight the antioxidant capabilities of the plant. The tests that are
carried out give interesting results since they show that all the extracts: (methanol IC50 =
0.02194 mg / ml), (n-butanol IC50 = 0.03687 mg / ml), (aqueous IC50 = 0, 04110 mg / ml),
(ethanol IC50 = 0.05229 mg / ml), (total oil IC50 = 0.07086 mg / ml), of the plant species
studied contain variable and important antioxidant activities.
We can conclude that the molecules of our plant Eucalyptus camaldulensis have a very
important antiradical activity.
