Abstract
Urogenital infections during pregnancy are common and their risk to the mother and her fetus is important
because of severe complications such as spontaneous abortion, premature delivery and low birth weight.
In this context, our work consists in studying cases of urogenital infection in 50 pregnant women between
the ages of 19 and 45 years old at the Hamam Bouhadjar maternity ward by the isolation and identification
of causal bacteria from urine samples and losses vaginal.
The results showed that the urinary tract infection was 24%, the genital infection was 22% and the
urogenital infection was 20%, while the negative cases were 34% in the women studied. Thirty-seven (37)
bacteria were isolated, most of which belong to the Enterobacteriaceae, Streptococcaceae and
Staphylococcaceae families.
The results of the antibiogram showed susceptibility of the isolated bacteria to cephalosporins,
aminoglycosides and β-lactams.
