Résumé
This study examines the role of Islamic windows in improving the financial performance of commercial banks, in light of the growing interest of banks in providing Islamic banking services and products compliant with Islamic Sharia principles. The study focuses on the contribution of Islamic windows in attracting savings, increasing financing growth, and their impact on banking performance. In the theoretical part, the study addressed the motives and reasons behind the adoption of Islamic banking principles by conventional banks, as well as the Sharia regulations governing the establishment of Islamic windows. In the practical part, a case study was conducted on the Islamic window of the Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (BADR). The study relied on the descriptive analytical method and used statistical data collected through interviews with the agency staff, in addition to analyzing the results provided by the bank. The findings revealed that the experience of opening the Islamic window was successful and contributed positively to increasing bank deposits and investments, improving financial performance, and expanding the customer base. The results also showed a growing acceptance among customers of Islamic banking products offered within conventional banks. Furthermore, the study confirmed that diversifying products and developing innovation in Islamic financing formulas are essential factors for sustaining this improvement and strengthening banks’ competitiveness.
