فعالية التحضير النفسي في التخفيف من حدة القلق للأطفال المقبلين على العملية الجراحية : دراسة عيادية على عينة من الأطفال بمستشفى بن زرجب - عين تموشنت

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the importance and role of psychological preparation for children undergoing surgery, given its direct impact on their emotional and behavioral state before and after surgery. A clinical approach was adopted as a methodological framework appropriate to the nature of the subject, focusing on case studies. A purposive sample of three children undergoing surgery was selected at the Pediatric Surgery Department of Dr. Benzerdjeb Hospital in Ain Temouchent. To collect data, various clinical tools were used, including: Clinical observation of children's behaviors and emotions, semi-directed and directed clinical interviews, and the adoption of an observation network to monitor behavioral changes. The Children's Anxiety Scale was used to determine the severity of pre-operative anxiety, and the Psychological Care Scale was used to assess the effectiveness of psychological support provided to خ the child during the psychological preparation period. The study results revealed high rates of surgical anxiety in children who were not psychologically prepared before surgery. In contrast, cases that benefited from psychological preparation interventions through play, relaxation, and motivational video showed a significant improvement in adapting to and accepting the circumstances of the surgical operation, contributing to a decrease in anxiety levels in children. The study also concluded that prior psychological preparation and preparation for the child plays a preventive and therapeutic role due to its importance in reducing the level of anxiety in the child about to undergo surgery.
