Abstract
The current study aimed to identify psychological flexibility and strategies for
coping with psychological pressures among civil status office agents. The study
sample consisted of (30) civil status office assistants in the municipality. The
study also aimed to identify the level of both psychological flexibility and
psychological coping strategies, and to identify the dimensions of Psychological
flexibility and the most commonly used coping strategies among civil status
office agents, as well as differences in the use of the dimensions of
psychological flexibility among civil status office agents that are attributed to
the variable of gender and seniority. To achieve these goals, the researcher used
the descriptive, correlational approach and applied both the psychological
resilience scale and the psychological stress coping strategies scale, then
analyzed the data obtained using the Pearson coefficient to find the relationship
between the study variables, and the arithmetic mean and standard deviation to
reveal the dimensions of resilience. The most commonly used psychological and
coping strategies and the t-test to measure differences. The following results
were reached: - The presence of a positive correlation between the dimensions
of psychological flexibility and strategies for coping with psychological
pressures, and the lack of a relationship between positive feelings and strategies
for coping with psychological pressures among civil status officers. The level of
psychological flexibility among the study sample is the average level. The level
of strategies for coping with psychological pressure is high. The dimensions of
psychological flexibility most used among the study sample are self-efficacy and
emotional control. The most frequently used psychological coping strategies
among Civil Status Office agents are: There are no statistically significant
differences in the use of psychological flexibility due to the variables of age and
