Abstract
The arab feminist discourse has gone through several intellectual phases, known as the three waves of feminism, which addressed women’s issues ranging from education and equality to identity and the body.this evolution took place amid debates over the tem "" feminist literature "" and its cultural acceptance, as well as calls for the feminization of language as a tool to restore women’s visibility in the public sphere.
In this context, feminist discourse in algeria began to take shape within a unique cultural and historical environment, influenced by colonialism and the social and political transformation that followed independence. This discourse tackled various themes such as love, marriage, divorce, revolution, the self, and the homeland, using poetry as its primary medium of expression. It is marked by linguistic particularities and poetic imagery that reflect a heightened feminist awareness.
In this regard, youssef oughlici, in his book discourse of femenization, offers an in –depth reading of algerian feminist literature. He explores the pioneering role of poetry, feminist criticism influenced by social factors, and the difficulties faced by algerian women writers _ from marginalization to writing under pseudonyms. The book also examines the characteristics of feminist poetry in terms of imagery, musicality, and personal expression, as well as the rebellion against patriarchal authority and the use of the body’s language as a means of expression.
