Abstract
our research highlights a discursive analysis of the humorous strategies used in comedic monologues, through the study of a sketch by Amine Radi about the Algerian boxer Imane Khelif. By combining tools from discourse analysis (DA) and humor theories, we examine how comedic discourse constructs a representation that is both satirical and socially engaged with regard to women’s sports in Algeria.
This approach allowed us to show how Amine Radi’s humor becomes a critical tool to question gender stereotypes, media representations, and identity tensions, while subtly yet effectively influencing public perception.
