Abstract

This research aims to stady the book « Receiving Text in Contempory Arab Critical Discourse , a descriptive and analytical stady, and to find out the concept of text and its relationship to discourse, and to trace its historical path and development from its origin and establishment in Western studies to the transition and reception in Arabic studies, with a focus on the position of Arab critics on this foreign term. And their dealings with him.
