Abstract
The study aimed to clarify the role of strategic management of human resources in developing
competencies and skills, as the field study was carried out at the level of the Tarqa Electricity
Generating Company. Ain Temouchent - The study also reached a set of results, the most
important of which are: The strategic management of human resources affects the development
of competencies and skills, through strategic planning for human resources and knowledge
management, which are considered among the most important models of strategic management
of human resources. The study also reached a set of recommendations, the most important of
which are The need to pay attention to the strategic management of human resources because of
its paramount importance, the development and development of competencies and skills, and
maintaining them.
