Abstract
This study aimed to reveal the level of psychological burnout among private security and protection agents who follow financial transfers and the extent of its impact on job performance. Accordingly, four (04) random cases were selected to conduct the study on them. The importance of this study lies in what we witness on a daily basis regarding the profession of security agents who seek to provide security services to public and even private institutions. Its aim is to uncover the suffering of this group and the professional pressures they are exposed to almost daily as a result of work, especially during their escorting and guarding of financial transfers with their light equipment.
Accordingly, the following question was raised: Do private security and guards tasked with escorting financial assets experience burnout in their job performance? • A sub-question was also raised: Do private security and guards tasked with escorting financial assets experience burnout in their job performance based on seniority?
To achieve the study's objectives, answer the questions posed, and verify its validity, we used the clinical approach and its various tools, which are compatible with such studies.
After collecting data, conducting analyses, and applying the Maslach Burnout Inventory, we reached the following results:
• Private security and guards tasked with monitoring financial assets experience burnout in their job performance.
• Private security and guards tasked with monitoring financial assets experience burnout in their job performance, depending on the variable of seniority in the profession, in favor of those with more seniority.
