فاعلية برنامج علاجي قائم على العلاج المعرفي السلوكي والعلاج بالتقبل والالتزام في تعزيز تقدير الذات لدى المرأة التي تتعرض للعنف الزوجي

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of a therapeutic program based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance, and commitment therapy (ACT) techniques in enhancing self-esteem in women subjected to spousal abuse. After conducting a preliminary field survey at the March 19, 1962 Hospital in Beni Saf, three cases were purposefully selected, ranging in age from 30 to 45 years. All of them had experienced various forms of spousal violence that negatively impacted their self-image and sense of self-worth. The study adopted two integrated approaches: a clinical approach to diagnose and analyze cases, and a quasi-experimental approach to measure the effectiveness of the therapeutic program. Multiple tools were used to collect data, including close clinical observation, a semi-structured interview, and the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Scale, which was administered pre- and post-tests. A therapeutic program designed by the two students was also implemented, combining CBT and ACT techniques in a balanced and integrated manner. The results showed a clear and tangible improvement in the level of self-esteem in the three cases, both quantitatively, as revealed by the results of the post-test, and qualitatively, as revealed by the interviews and analysis of interactions during the sessions. This confirms the effectiveness of the proposed treatment program and calls for its future implementation on a broader scale, with greater support for specialized psychological interventions targeting abused women.
