Abstract

This studyaims to know the effect of fluctuations in exchange rates on the Algerian payment balance in the period (1990-2014). The studyfoundthat changes in the Algerian Dinar has not had positive results on the domesticeconomy, especially as regards exports. The increase in revenue in Algeriabecause of the rising of oilprices in the request. Butthereis no change of clear in regards to the import. Note that the value of imports increased and thisis due to the increase in domesticdemand for foreignproducts. The changes that have affected the exchange rate of the dinar has alsoled to the appearance of the parallelmarketwhichaffectedaggressively the national economy. Wecansaythatour data do not correspond to the reality of the Algerian economy.
