Abstract

This study aimed to detect the level of depression, the level of death anxiety and psychological alienation in depressed mothers at Dr. Ben Zargib Hospital, Ain Tamouchant. The study sample consisted of two (02) depressed mothers who were randomly selected. To achieve the objectives of the study, we adopted the clinical approach based on a case study, and we used three scales: the Death Anxiety Scale (Donald Templer) adapted by (Abdel Khalek, 2013), the Psychological Alienation Scale by (Raghdaa Naissa, 2012), and the Beck Depression Scale adapted by (Abdel Sattar Ibrahim, 1990). The results of our study were between the effect of death anxiety on the appearance of psychological alienation and the effect of psychological alienation on the appearance of death anxiety in the depressed mother and the presence of a high level of death anxiety and a high level of depression, while psychological alienation came at an intermediate level, and these results were discussed in the light of previous studies and theoretical literature.
