Abstract

This study aimed to identify students’ representations of the phenomenon of illegal immigration, as the target sample was the young group of university students, since it is the group closest to practicing this phenomenon. We also crystallized the research problem in the central question: What are students’ representations of the phenomenon of illegal immigration? To achieve our research goals, we relied on the descriptive analytical method that relies on statistics and analysis, and we relied on a sample totaling 155 Male and female students, represented by students of the Faculty of Arts and Languages at Belhadj Bouchaib University in Ain Temouchent. Some previous studies that were similar in terms of the subject of the study were also used. The data collection tools represented in the questionnaire were relied upon, and among the results obtained we mention: - There is complete awareness on the part of students about the phenomenon of illegal immigration. - The presence of negative representations about the phenomenon of illegal immigration.
