Abstract

This research addresses the topic of linguistic communication and its function between formal and colloquial language at the Algerian university. The first part is theoretical, explaining the concept of linguistic communication, its types, and its elements, to understand language use in Algeria and the reality of communication and education at the Algerian university. The second part of this study is practical, involving a field study to understand the communication of African students at Belhadj Bouchaib University in Ain Temouchent. We distributed questionnaires to African students and conducted interviews with them to understand how their communication process takes place at the Algerian university.
