Abstract

The study aims to highlight the role of renewable energies in achieving sustainable development in Algeria using the descriptive analytical approach by analyzing the indicators of renewable energies in Algeria and evaluating the national program for the development of renewable energies (2011-2030) and the completed projects. We concluded that Algeria did not achieve the goal of renewable energies as one of the development goals sustainable development despite the available capabilities and efforts represented by the national program and the completed projects that were not sufficient to achieve the goal.
