Abstract

This research deals with the reality and the imagined in the ordeal literature, the novel "Shams in a Box" by Saida Hawara, as this literature we knew about the period of the black decade and the bitter reality that the Algerian people lived through during the nineties. The study of this research included a theoretical aspect in which we mentioned theoretical concepts of reality and imagination, then their definition in the first chapter of the research, as well as the concept of personality and its types, and a definition of time and place. For the applied side, the realistic and imaginary creativity was extracted within the novel, then the realistic and imaginary creativity of the characters, as well as events and spatial events, so we move to the conclusion.
