Résumé
This thesis presents the design, programming, and simulation of the automated control of a
three-story elevator. The work is based on a real educational bench developed by the Algerian
company MICROTECHNOLOGIES LAB, controlled by a Schneider Electric Twido
TWDLCDA24DRF compact Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with 14 digital inputs
and 10 relay outputs, programmed using the TwidoSuite V2.0 development environment.
After a historical introduction tracing the evolution of lifting systems from Antiquity to
contemporary gearless permanent magnet machines, the thesis details the functional
architecture of a modern automated elevator (mechanical subsystems, control and command
systems, and human-machine interface), the applicable international standards, and the
functional safety requirements. The control system is modeled using Ladder logic. Validation
is performed by simulation using the integrated Twido Simulator. All observed results
conform to the specifications, demonstrating the reliability of the developed program.
