Abstract

This study aimed to identify the body schema disorder in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). applied to (04) cases from Ain Temouchent city,which were intentionally chosen. The clinical approach was used using the case study method, applying various assessment scales: the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS), the Gilliam Autism Rating Scale-2 (GARS-2), the Draw-A-Person test, and the body schema test. The results of the study showed that: - There is a relationship between body schema disorders and degrees of autism spectrum disorders. - The level of body schema disorder varies in children with autism spectrum disorders depending on the degree of autism, mental age and chronological age, while there is no difference concerning the sex variable. Finally, these results were discussed in light of the theoretical framework and previous studies, several recommendations and suggestions related to the topic were presented.
