الثقافة المقاولتية لدى الطلبة الجامعيين و دورها في تبني فكرة مشروع مؤسسة : دراسة ميدانية على عينة من طلبة جامعة عين تموشنت وفاعلين بمركز تطوير المقاولاتية

Abstract

This studyaimed to analyze the role of entrepreneurial culture amonguniversitystudentsacrossdifferentacademic disciplines in adopting the idea of launching a business project. It sought to clarify the nature of the relationshipbetween entrepreneurial culture and the formation of intention to initiatesuch a project. The studywasguided by the central research question: How does entrepreneurial culture amonguniversitystudentscontribute to their adoption of the idea of establishing a business project? And whatroledoes the universityplay in fosteringthis culture? Adopting a qualitative analyticalapproachthatcombineddescriptive and comparativemethods, the researchutilizedsemi-structured interviews and focus group discussions. The studysampleconsisted of 35 purposivelyselected participants, including 30 university students from variousspecializations (third-yearundergraduate and master'slevels), some of whomwerealreadyengaged in entrepreneurial ventures, as well as 5 key actorsfrom the Entrepreneurship Development Center (CDE) at Belhadj Bouchaib University in Ain Témouchent specifically. the center'sdirector and four trainers. The fieldworkspannedfromearly January to early May 2025. The main findings of the study can besummarized as follows. The study revealed a high level of entrepreneurial culture among students at the University of AinTemouchent, particularly those affiliated with the Center for Entrepreneurship Development. This was largely attributed to awareness-raising efforts and support mechanisms that contribute to fostering and activating the entrepreneurial spirit among students, enabling them to engage with the labor market. However, this engagement varies across disciplines, with notably higher interest observed among students in technical and scientific fields. The existence of a supportive educational environment characterized by training programs, financial assistance, mentorship, and business incubators-plays a significant role in the successful adoption of entrepreneurial ventures. The promotion of core entrepreneurial values such as creativity, initiative, and autonomy encourages individuals to develop innovative and realistic project ideas. Nonetheless, participation remains low among students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. There is a general lack of awareness, particularly among students in literary and social science disciplines, regarding the role of the Center for Entrepreneurship Development in strengthening entrepreneurial culture and facilitating the transition from theoretical knowledge to practical application. Students in the humanities and social sciences exhibit a notably weaker entrepreneurial intention compared to their counterparts in technical and scientific disciplines. This can be explained by two main factors: an academic factor related to the nature of their fields of study, and a socio-cultural factor linked to prevailing perceptions and societal attitudes. An exception to this trend is observed among students of clinical psychology, whose field incorporates a relatively technical orientation, resulting in a more pronounced entrepreneurial inclination.
