Foreign direct investment as a tool to attract international liquidity in Algeria between reality and hope

Abstract

In this research paper, we tried to analyze the impact of the investment climate in Algeria on foreign direct investment flows, as it is considered one of the most important economic variables that help alleviate the problem of international financing and benefit greatly from the liquidity available at the international level, but in a more material way. Recent economic developments are being studied. To a large extent, the economic regions are competitive with each other, on the one hand, and to achieve the highest forms of economic integration on the other hand, so that they can face the challenges of economic globalization, which imposed its domination on the world and in various sectors, whether economic, political or social. One of the most important results that we extracted is that the investment climate that we tried to evaluate through the most important economic indicators represented in the ease of doing business index, the economic freedom index and the global competitive environment index negatively affects the flows of foreign direct investment to Algeria due to the decline in the level of the investment environment in Algeria.
