Dermatological diseases and cosmetological demands by the population are more and more frequent. The use of phytotherapy to remedy these ailments is also frequent in Algeria. Our study aims to identify the medicinal plants used in the treatment of common skin diseases in the Ain Temouchent region. In this sense, we carried out an ethnobotanical survey among 50 people of different ages and genders from the studied region. The results obtained made it possible to identify 38 species of medicinal plants used for the treatment of dermatoses and among the most cited species, we note Trigonella fenum-graecum L (fenum), Thymus vulgaris (thyme) and Motricariai chamomilla (chamomile). Most of the leaves (28%) are used. Infusion is the most frequently used method of preparation, while rinsing is the most frequently recommended method of administration. The present study constitutes a database for further studies in the field of Algerian pharmacopoeia.en_US
