Abstract
This study aims to shed light on spiritual values in children's stories by analyzing selected works of the Algerian author Warda Akif. The thesis focuses on the educational and moral role that storytelling plays in shaping a child's character, particularly from a spiritual perspective that includes concepts such as faith, reliance on God (tawakkul), patience, forgiveness, and justice.
In the first chapter, the researcher addresses the theoretical framework of Algerian children's literature, highlighting the importance of stories as an effective educational tool. The second chapter presents an applied study of three stories, revealing how Warda Akif addresses spiritual themes in a simple narrative form suitable for a child’s mind and impactful on their emotions.
The study concludes that Warda Akif’s stories represent a successful model in presenting spiritual values indirectly, enhancing moral upbringing and nurturing the child’s religious awareness through an enjoyable and educational narrative style.
