Abstract

The study aims to shed light on two short story collections from the literary output of the writer Jamila Zenir, entitled “Tawaref al-Tair and Ubeer al-Rayahin,” which fall under the umbrella of Algerian literature. The study addressed the literary aesthetics in the formation of the titles of the two collections. This required analyzing the main title in terms of its linguistic and grammatical structure and the choice of words that comprise it, in addition to the meaning and functions that the title carries and performs. The research also addressed the analysis of the sub-titles in the same way, and as a final stop to the research, it addressed the contents of the stories and their relationship to the sub-titles, then the relationship between the main title and the sub-titles.
