Abstract

This study aims to highlight the role of Zakat in tackling poverty in Algeria. The study concluded the following main results: The zakat system is a socio-economic system that has an effective role within the international development program and in building a welfare economy free of poverty. The Zakat Fund in Algeria is a pioneering experience in this field where zakat is distributed to the poor as a material subsidy for poor families to improve their conditions, and From this standpoint, the Ministry based on the Zakat Fund in Algeria should work to provide the electronic infrastructure for managing the Zakat Fund, Providing independence for state funds according to the nature Finally, achieving full transparency in the process of collecting and distributing Zakat.
