Résumé
This study explores the short story as a literary genre that has succeeded in establishing its place within the literary scene, thanks in large part to a number of writers — foremost among them Mohamed Ben El-Abed El-Jellali, who is considered a pioneer of the Arabic short story due to the quality of his writings.
In this research, we aimed to uncover the features of experimentation in the stories of El-Jellali, which he published in Al-Shihab magazine in 1935. Through these narrative attempts, the writer sought to showcase his creative ability in expressing the innovation he introduced across several elements: structure and theme, characters, local setting, and dialogue.
