dc.description.abstractOnline Misogynistic Hate speech is a discourse based on hostility; which may result into inequality problems, and discourage women from participating in their community or expressing their opinions. This particular discourse is increasingly manifested in and may have an influence in the normalization of sexiest language and behaviors towards Algerian Women. The study builds open existing theoretical literature about Computer Mediated Communication and Misogynistic Hate Speech. Thus, this research is an exploratory study into the linguistic attributes of Misogynistic Hate Speech in Algeria and the references employed by users to the service of this type of discourse. To accomplish this aim of the study, a corpus, that consists of comments and posts related to the case of Rima is analyzed using Gee’s tools of discourse Analysis. The main results obtained in this study is that users employ a variety of expressive lexicalization, a structural strategy, that is, based on positive and negative portraying, Computer-Mediated Communication properties in addition to cultural and religious references.en_US
